Pros

Very good area for family life and many "country living" activities close-by. One of a very few 'technical' companies in area. Many good people doing their best to make things work on ground level.

Cons

Huge workload and little support. Surprises/chaos and fire-fighting part of "culture"! Management team feedback ineffective - does not translate to worker level concerns/language. Worker morale is low in my view and management actions to enhance it is superficial. Much is dictated from head office in France - typical international group culture.

Pros

People are treated very well at Safran. They might not be the highest paying Aerospace company in the USA, but they have great benefits, management, and people. And still, the pay is usually competitive.

Cons

The headquarters are in France and therefore you need to be open to a different culture. Additionally, French and English are used sometimes in communications.

Pros

Many learning opportunities for troubleshooting different types of avian generator control units. Opportunities to work with a variety of engineering departments including production, test, quality, and industrialization. Occasional overtime opportunities.

Cons

High stress due to production deadlines, especially at the end of month. Miscommunications due to constant reprioritizing of needs. Difficult to move from short term (1 year+ only) contracts to full time positions.
