Pros
4+ weeks of vacation, good pay and benefits, company closure between Christmas and New Years.
Cons
During my time with the Board I saw many kind, talented people get overworked without any acknowledgement. This is the root of the constant stream of turnover. The company has too many department “Heads” and Vice Presidents for its size, which has festered into an old school, hierarchical culture. Frankly, they’d be better off pivoting to new model and investing in a strong team of Directors rather than throwing millions at executives who talk in circles without driving any real change or generating revenue. Directors are also saddled with unachievable annual research funding targets and are expected to juggle bizdev and portfolio management… with barely any support. A recipe for failure.
