Pros

Competitive pay, great training grounds, provide you indepth real life real estate experience

Cons

This is a place where hopes and dreams go six feet under. There is no work life balance, no recognition, and uninspiring leadership who are immune to change and feedback. The company still stuck in 80s mentality where they believe no one can be trusted (can make any decision regardless how trivial they are), and where negative reinforcement will yield good results and that hard work is the answer to everything as if people are robots. People that do stay in the company either fall between under 2 years or above 10 years which is a strong signal how poor the company is at retaining anyone and that most people with an ounce of common sense would leave the company in a heartbeat. The company do recognize the issue but is helpless because leadership is held without any accountability to treat people with respect and dignity. The root of the problem is deeply ingrained in the company culture with no hope of any change.

Pros

- Laid back informal structure (but still efficient) - Found the hours to be good and regular - Great management (good people that know what they are doing) - Generally a smart and good bunch of employees - Past and current CEO are experts and also good natured with stellar (well liked by all from what I have seen) - Great HR staff - Alot going on future (development)

Cons

- would also say that growth opportunities are limited and promotions are not structured as you find in other fields - no RRSP match (although I do not care about this)

Pros

There are some good people to work with who you can learn from Decent training is provided for most positions Financial educational assistance provided

Cons

Absolutely awful culture Long hours are expected every day Taking your vacation is frowned upon and a frustrating process Work life balance isn't possible if you want to have a future there They feel they own you Half hearted attempts at things like fitness programs fall short of useful Salary is not competitive No pension or long term incentives Benefits offered are the bare minimum and have been scaled back in recent years Very few opportunities to move up Management spends an absurd amount of time babysitting grown men and women Degrading attempts to blame others is the norm Favouritism and nepotism are rampant Be prepared to be scolded for what others are commended for - double standards are ridiculous Everyone is in a constant state of panic for what inevitably turns out to be nothing urgent at all No opportunities to actually make decisions or use common sense Essentially a sweat shop where you're expected to be quiet for as long as humanly possible and do mindless work
