Thank you for your review and for your dedicated service as a Special Needs School Bus Driver in Guelph. We're glad to hear that you found the work to be in high demand and that you valued the training and paid snow days.
We also appreciate you sharing your advice to management. We understand that the part-time, split-shift nature of the job can be challenging. We are always looking for ways to improve our compensation and benefits to create more stability for our team.
Your suggestions regarding the Z endorsement, attracting younger drivers, and providing year-round work are excellent, and we will take them into serious consideration.
We wish you all the best.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for being a valued part of the Switzer-CARTY team! We are happy to hear that you feel supported by our training programs and are satisfied with the compensation.
We completely understand that driving a school bus comes with its own set of responsibilities. It is a demanding job, and we appreciate the hard work you put in every day to keep our students safe. Thank you for your continued dedication to the Guelph community.
Can take your own children on bus and have same work schedule as kids school schedule.
Can also stop for errands with the bus like Walmart and Stone Road Mall, etc.
Cons
Dispatch, Management and Training Dept are jokes.
Dispatch cant keep track of which bus you are supposed to use when yours goes in for service, I got called back so many times after pre tripping and driving away because another driver needed the bus that I was told to take. And Dispatch doesnt know their lefts from their rights when giving directions over the radio tobhelp us get to stops and navigate around construction and road closures.
Management says they are open door but they truly are not, no resolution and just feel unheard and dismissed
Training dept is so unorganized. The trainers never know whats going on and the "boss" makes herself seem nice and friendly but she really is not and is so moody and unpredictable. She gets upset very easily and acts as if she cares about safety concerns but then gets upset and defensive when I report that the same issue is happening
Unless you are part of their "clique" you get the dirty end of the stick.
