Pros
There are talented people motivated to do good in the world.
Cons
Over the last few years systemic discrimination of women has gone from probable to undeniable and really hard to watch. Almost all of the women who were part of the senior leadership team have left, burnt out, or been pushed out in the past year. No men have left. The worst part is hearing the CEO make inappropriate jokes about it in an attempt to be…relatable? No action is taken, no change happens. I’ve watched senior women get spoken to in ways that are passive aggressive, condescending and dismissive. It seems like the higher up you go, the more toxic the culture becomes with emotional manipulation used as a way to control and influence employees. HR is lead by someone very new to the profession and very loyal to the founders… not a great combination. Overall there’s a weird culty vibe at this place where the CEO avoids any accountability, deflects blame and routinely cries at company meetings in effort to rally the team. There is a lot of crying but real issues behind the company’s struggles are never addressed, quarterly targets are always missed and employees are asked to just stay positive despite so many red flags. The strategy is constantly changing with customer-facing teams bearing the burden of picking up the pieces. If you’re considering working here, think long and hard. Some roles are more insulated from the dysfunction and could be ok, but this place is smoke and mirrors and many of us are actively interviewing and looking for new jobs.
