Pros

The culture, the people, the office, the free food, the free drinks, the flexible work hours, the relaxed dress code. Good place for new grads to get exposure to many different aspects of the fast paced business world.

Cons

Salary is nowhere close to being what you would be valued at. For the amount of money that they generate off the backs of the entire implementation team, the Technical Product Specialist is heavily underpaid and overworked. There is no career progression. Severe lack of employee engagement and insight from the management side. Having a 1 on 1 every week or a team meeting everyday does NOT help you understand whether or not your employees are happy - it just brings YOU up to speed with project status. This disconnect is what has caused so many people to leave. There are a few Project Managers who are completely oblivious to their role and rely on Technical Product Specialists to step in and steer the meeting. There have been times when we are non-billable for weeks on end because "there aren't any hours in the project", why then does management still come around and question why our utilization is so low when they aren't approving our hours and valid work in the first place. It's very common to see this scenario play out and unfortunately some employees have even missed out on their annual bonus because of this (makes no sense considering management was asking for work to be done but then turns around and said "hey it sucks you did the work but we don't have the hours to show you in the green, oh and by the way this affects your performance even though we know you did the work so no bonus for you") Despite having valuable resources, the company opts to micromanage at many stages.

Pros

Generous pay structure, including bonuses and commission. I was not with the company long enough to receive bonuses.

Cons

Zero training. I came into this role brand new to the industry and wasn’t given any parameters to operate within. Everything was up to me on how I operated, but with no experience in the industry I didn’t know what to do.
