Pros

Travelers training process is the best training I have ever been in. They have a whole team based for training & they ensure you are ready for the job. Insurance is not easy, but they make sure you are all up to speed before going into live work. They do not want individuals to fail, and want them to feel confident with everything that you need to be doing in your job. You are assigned a coach and they help you all the way through and don't think of you as a bother. Not only is the training, great - but the benefits as well. I had no insurance background and have grown so much since day one due to all the individuals I have helping me on my side.

Cons

Parking costs money - however, it gets pulled from your paycheck so it isn't too bad.

Pros

The benefits are incredible, especially retirement and family planning options. The company really invests in the growth of their employees, prioritizes a healthy work/life balance, and really emphasizes networking and innovation.

Cons

The hiring process can be dense and is ultimately very competitive.

Pros

Everyone I work with here is great - friendly, dedicated, hard working, professional, but also fun. The company is very aware that their employees are people. They encourage us to use our time off. We have mindfulness trainings. Our medical plan includes things like 8 free therapy sessions and free visits with a lawyer for consults. Also, I genuinely get the sense that Travelers is a good company. We are encouraged to volunteer. When we do, they award us $20 for every hour of community service worked, and that money can be used to donate a charity of our choice. Then, Travelers will match the money that they already gave us. The leadership is working to be zero emissions by 2030 and I believe they will do. It's a great place to work. There are so many different business units, departments, and offices in this company that if your role isn't fulfilling you can probably find another position that will be a good fit. You are also likely to find another office in the country if you have to (or want to) move. The company is very open to people finding the right place for them.

Cons

Everyone has a very full plate. It's not an insurmountable amount of work but it will keep you very busy. We also require at least 3 days per week in office in my region, but honestly, it's nice to back in an office with people. You will likely pay more for benefits here but they have different plans depending on what you're looking for.
