Cons
Favoritism and no opportunity for movement. Local leadership has no driving force to accommodate diversity and people usually leave within a year or two. Ok salary but they micro manage the heck out of you as there is only handful of employees at their Auburn Hills location. HR is only there to protect the leadership not the employees, so forget about raising any regrets or concerns. Auburn Hills location is not doing well either as they are also not the market leaders in their segment. They are minor player out of the three major catalyst suppliers. They are just here coz their European masters want to be present in the automotive scene here geographically speaking.
This is for European bosses - clean up the local leadership team as they only put on good face when you visit and no actual results. Many account managers have shown no actual $$$ in years and is only there to give shiite work to direct reports to no end. Some only care about SAE papers and other niche conferences. Coming from a local, if you’re colored or an immigrant stay away as they only favor the local guys when it comes to promotions. Out of the ones that rarely come out, only the local guys whose nose has gotten so brown from all the rear end rubbing will be promoted or some European who has to do an international assignment will be promoted. Also, their rating system is backwards and they love to come down on you even if you put in honest work. All it matters is being in the click.
