Pros

The only pro that I can honestly say is that there is a paycheck.at the end of the week and that they pay for my weekly flights back and forth to the States.

Cons

As a senior manager I understand the importance of the bottom line. But this company goes to the extreme to save a buck. Wipro apparently underbid this project and make their Canadian footprint. I get it, a lost leader... common practice...but...if it were only that simple. Executive refuse to invest in the project and keep making excuses to the client and cutting corners. It is so severely underfunded that at our weekly exec meetings it is consistently implied that Canada Post will kick us off the project due to lack of staff and resources. The in-fighting at this company is unbelievable and borders on juvenile. There is little to no respect shown to employees by senior management and we are encouraged to work them as if they are still in India. Wipro displaces local employees by importing under paid staff from India and have them work while they are on non-working visas. I have lost count of the number of employees that were sent back to India from the Ottawa airport due to the inconsistencies of the employee reason for coming to Canada (and the States as well) and what has been documented with immigration. Sales doesn't care about their relationship with the client now that they have made the sale of data center services. Although they keep trying to up-sell crap to a client that has no respect for them. Sales is more interested in the money that can be generated between business units...at expense of CRM. To those of you who are considering working for this company, either in the States or Canada, re-consider and ask yourself if you want to be a corporate robot or an individual who's education, opinions and values are respected. If you're the former, take the job. If you're the latter, run. One last note, remember that HR works for the company, not the employee. I'm made aware of everything about my staff, there is no confidentiality.

Pros

Good place for freshers and early‑career professionals to learn technologies, processes, and client interaction, with “huge opportunities for learning new things.”

Cons

Onboarding for freshers can be slow and confusing, with delays before real project allocation

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
