Pros

None, start of pay of 12 bucks for 4 months. Not worth it.

Cons

I am with FDM for more that 10 Months now no job no pay. Their job posting is exactly same as other agencies. Companies look down on FDM consultants, they see them as useless. The contract makes u binded to FDM and you cannot apply outside. Im sitting at home and unable to apply to jobs outside. THERE ARE FAKE REVIEWS ON HERE, CLAIM THAT FDM IS VERY GOOD. THEY ASKED EVERYONE AT FDM TO WRITE POSITIVE REVIEWS ONLY. THEY TRY TO MAKE U BREAK TO CONTRACT, WHICH WILL RESULT IN A PENALTY ABOUT $30,000. TAKE THIS ADVICE AND DON'T JOIN.

Thank you for your feedback. Your comment regarding “no pay for ten months” is concerning as all FDM employees receive a regular paycheck; there are no unpaid roles. In Canada, FDM compensates all consultants from day one of their training through the two-year placement period, whether they are actively on-site or between client placements. If there have been issues with your pay, please reach out to our Payroll or HR department who will investigate immediately. FDM’s careers program is unique and we recognize that it may not be the right fit for everyone, which is why we try to be as transparent as possible in explaining the model as well as all the terms and conditions (including the salary) during the Interview Day. This is also why we offer the 2-week ‘cooling off’ period after starting for you to better determine if FDM is the right career path for you. As a business, FDM wants to successfully train and place every candidate we recruit; having a consultant break their contract is a loss to us and something we would never encourage. Though in most cases our consultants are pre-selected for a client placement before they even complete their training, occasionally this is not the case. It is the goal of our Account Managers and Consultant Support team to minimize consultants’ downtime between roles or after training. If you are, as you say, sitting at home, my first recommendation would be to come in to the FDM office. Request mock interviews with our Account Managers, additional training from our academy, and ultimately aim to continually hone and improve your skills so that you will perform to the very best of your ability for your next interview with an FDM client. FDM is here to help in any way we can, so I encourage you to take advantage of these resources. We do not solicit fake reviews. The honest feedback from our employees is important to us and we truly listen to the comments we receive here. While I’m sorry to hear that your experience has not been more positive, many FDM consultants and employees do enjoy their experience with us and leave honest feedback indicating so. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your feedback further if you’re willing. Andy Brown

Pros

1. For the FDM Graduate Program, very thorough and rigorous training is provided, helping you learn the software and skills required to do well and progress in the field of technology. You also get proper certification, so that will be useful in future. 2. Good opportunity to work for a major financial institution. With proper networking, you can progress well in your career after the 2 year contract is over. 3. The trainers and account managers are incredibly helpful. They do their best to ensure you learn during the training and get a placement with a client.

Cons

1. Very low pay. In many cases, the actual salary can be lower than the 40,000 in Year 1 and 45,000 in Year 2 as advertised by FDM. The actual pay structure is, Year 1: $40,000* ($22,230 basic salary per annum + $68.10 daily bonus) Year 1: $45,000* ($22,230 basic salary per annum + $87.25 daily bonus) The daily bonus depends on the number of days you spend at a client's work site. So if you don't get placed with a client then you will not be earning that amount. 2. There is no guarantee you will get placement with a client. You may have to wait anywhere between 0-3 months (or longer) after training is over before you get a placement. And even then, the it may not be for the entire 2 year duration. In some cases, you may get placement only for 3/6/12 months and after that you would have to start looking for another placement all over again. 3. Contract release can cost you upto $30,000 if you decide to leave after 2 weeks at FDM.

Thank you for your feedback. FDM’s program is very unique; for those willing to invest the couple of years’ time of training and client placements, the long term career growth potential of an FDM consultant is incredible. After the two-year placement period, our consultants are equipped with extensive work experience, and many go on to internalize with their placement client. It is FDM’s aim to maximize the time you are placed on a client site. Most consultants are pre-selected for a client before they even reach the end of their training. It is true that client placements vary in duration. For many, this is seen as a perk of the program; multiple placements means you get the opportunity to broaden your skills and your networks, gaining insight into how a number of our prestigious client organizations operate. However, our Careers Program is not the right fit for everyone, which is why we try to make the recruitment process as transparent as possible. We also offer a 14-day trial period to all new consultants at the start of their training to give them the opportunity to learn more about our business and ensure that FDM is the right choice for them. It sounds like you decided to leave within your first week, and we respect that decision. We also appreciate your thoughts on how to make the program more attractive to candidates like yourself, as we’re always looking to improve the experience for our consultants. Andy Brown

Pros

Interview process is almost normal depends on the potential clients as well. Taking courses are good experience if you are weak in OOP and RDBM.

Cons

2 years commitment to FDM is worst part and there is no way to get out of it! They pay minimum wage as long as you find a job which it may takes up to 6 months.
