Pros

Good location in the city centre near food options and shopping

Cons

The mutual fund business is not doing well and the company doesn't really invest in its people. Just heavy workloads. That's all. There are no long term careers here no matter what people tell you.

Pros

- Coworkers are friendly and helpful - External educational courses are covered

Cons

- Compensation is far below industry average and there is absolutely no negotiating with HR. As you move up, your salary increase is a fixed percentage on top of your current salary so if you come in with a low salary you'll never make much regardless of the position you move up to. - Bloated middle and upper management. Lots of directors, VPs, and SVPs with no apparent purpose. - Senior management is old and just waiting to retire. They don't want to take any risks or implement any changes. The company is a slow moving dinosaur. - The company is still very sexist and racist. Still predominantly run by old white men.

Pros

Decent benefits and pension, colleagues of equal level are great to work with

Cons

It all starts with management setting the tone of inequality and favouritism. They like to preach about being a top level employer but racism and sexism is very much apparent. You will never be acknowledged for skill, merit and expertise. Upper management consist of a small group who look out for each other. Management below that is toxic in that everyone is out to step on others to get into upper management. This leads into an organization of pure politics, resulting in favouritism as everyone is trying to build their own sets of allies.
