Job description does not match job duties

Pros

Good benefits. Nice building to work in.

Cons

I work in a team of two with little support. I have been bullied and harassed at work by my supervisor but have no one to turn to. Hierarchical structure - lots of red tape. Have been working on projects way below my scope. Job description does not match actual work performed. Given no opportunities for self development. I am scared to go to work everyday because of the current situation.

Pros

Many sites to choose from when you cannot find a decent manager. Some units actually find camaraderie amidst the chaos and are pleasant to workin.

Cons

Unethical and often unqualified leadership. Focus on cost savings hidden as quality care initiatives. Managers running wards and units on bare bones staffing to hit their budget targets. This is not good healthcare... or at least, not good enough for me to accept in my province! This all leads to moral distress, anxiety and attrition.
