Pros

You get to meet great co-workers and passengers. Travel to the US and Canada. We don't usually cross to many time zones. The working conditions are better that Air Canada in my opinion. I'm on the old contract so I make a good living.

Cons

We don't live in a perfect world. I wish our top managers would understand the our travel benefits mean a lot to us and stop eroding them. Air Canada schedule our aircraft so the turn times are to short. Our new FA need to make more money.

Volatile industry, many ups and downs Long hours (flight crew) and 24/7/365 availability means you will be missing out on many holidays with family Low wage when starting out, but typical for industry

plenty of vacation time (If - based on seniority-spots available), travel / health/ retirement benefits, paid sick days, salaries are fair -But not great!!

Cons

-LOUSY, inexperienced and vindictive management (practices and ethics leave TOO much to be desired), - Work schedules frequently changing - Total disregard for employees needs. - Advancement and promotions are rare and hard to get for members of visible minorities - "Whites only management company" in spite of their "equal opportunity" employer pledge!! - Plenty of violations to the union / labour contract
