Management is an interesting and painful collection of cast-offs, relatives and unproductive floor personnel. The company has become staffed with apprentices and tree planters so that the highly paid trades-persons can be pushed out or fired. The HR department seems to run or try to run every department making aerospace/maintenance decision of which they are not qualified.
There is no clearly defined direction for this company. The production personnel learn more from outside source than from management within. A very very dysfunctional organization.
The new president has not improved the sense of security or direction for the employees. I hear that they are going through another reorganization.
A competent, outspoken, consciences qualified tradesperson will have a very difficult time reaching above a supervisor level, if they haven't eliminated all the supervisors by this time.
They even had a director of security and there was no security??????
