Pros

Awesome culture, great people. Supply chain space is getting "cooler". Amazing customers, and change in leadership has been really good and I think will be an unlock for even better growth.

Cons

We don't always stick with things- we give up too soon. And we need to be more open to taking risks, making big bets.

Pros

In general, the people around me, the DOers, are nice people. Quality ? I would say average with some exceptions both ways. Nothing wrong with that.

Cons

Although the company is growing a lot there has been some firing during the past 2-3 years. I've actually worked with most of those people. You really wonder if that was really nec, unavoidable ? Despite what HR says, the general impression is that this is not the case. There is a growing feeling in the company that anyone could be next, junior senior, whatever. Especially since there has been quite a lot of hiring of "leadership" (manager, CxOs, VPs etc) that, really, can't do what the DOers do. They were hired to "lead". With that comes quite a bit of bs tasks on each of us which are competing with our actual, real tasks that we need to do to make the product work. Hence many feel insecure, u don't know what can happen next. And then we have examples at hand of hires at the very top of the company, CxOs, senior VPs, that everyone will agree they brought absolutely no value.. To the product. Some have left the company now, still you wonder "how was that possible?". And then you see the DOers, like i said, junior or senior no difference, getting fired. It feels wrong, makes you want to look for something else. In the end, it's just a job and you are just a number.

Pros

I had a much longer version of this but I decided to cut it down to bullet points. - Good work-life balance - People were agreeable (at least on my team)

Cons

- Low pay (~15% lower than industry average by my estimation) - Non-technical managers who don't understand employee value (not all managers, there are some good ones) - No opportunity to advance - Company obsessed with hiring "superstars" to its own detriment - Little to no onboarding process - No motivation to succeed, doing work well/quick simply results in more work and nothing else - Little allowance for employees trying to contribute in a way not expressly approved by management - Constant direction-switching, marketing seems to dictate what development does, and they are the last to hear about any priority changes - Obsession with profits over all else as of late, being a "billion dollar company" is more important than anything to the C-level execs - Culture rapidly deteriorating in favor of faux-IBM corporatism. This is a sticking point for many.

We’re sorry you didn’t have a positive experience with Kinaxis and we always welcome feedback so thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We are a growing and ambitious company and with that comes some degree of change, which isn’t always comfortable. We regularly benchmark salaries, evaluate our onboarding process and we have extensive training programs for managers. As we grow as a company, maintaining our culture remains a top priority for our CEO and executive team and we welcome everyone’s input into how we can do this better. Thanks again for your feedback.
