Considering a career at LMC? heed my warning — stay as far away as possible. Trust me, I wish I had listened to all the warning signs given to me prior. I have never written a review on glass door before, but after working there I figured to warn as many people as possible.
• This company does not care about its employees. It’s disturbing that they call themselves a healthcare company yet fail to provide their employees with a liveable wage. The workload is ridiculously immense and not at all commensurable with the salary. They are robbing their employees blind.
• I started to exhibit signs of severe emotional/physiological stress and burnout after my first week. This was caused by the extreme workload assigned. Executives and Managers don’t care about how you feel, they just want the work done and submitted on time… very little flexibility exists within this company.
• The behaviour from individuals on the executive level towards employees is deplorable. These executives are looking out for their own self-interest and do not give a damn about how subordinate employees should be addressed. There is a basic lack of respect shown to employees, so don’t expect to be treated as a qualified adult— because you won’t.
• The company fails to provide their new employees with adequate and comprehensive training material. They have the means to do it but don’t care to. SO essentially, they don't exist. You just pretty much learn as you go and hope to hell that you can remember all the details which is obviously pretty problematic.
• The employee turnover rate at LMC is ridiculously high. People come into the company, see how bad things truly are and leave. **Please don’t make this same mistake** There are unrelated workers in the building who wish they could warn those who come in to interview at LMC. DING DING DING — People who don’t even work for LMC know that something terrible is up.
• The company is corrupt and should undergo both compliance and financial audits. Apparently, they are the largest diabetes and endocrinology network in North America, and are expanding yet don’t have the means to pay their employees accordingly? They deliberately cut corners on things that matter such as hiring more employees, increasing employee salary yet the executives are pampered with lavish lunches and every one of their expenses is thrown on their corporate credit cards. Something is seriously wrong here.
Bottom line is that this company would much rather invest in nurturing the lifestyles of their executive personnel rather than their employees. If the points I've made fail to raise any concerns in your head, then go for it. However, if they did — which they should— please do not waste your time on this rotten company because you will regret it. There are plenty of honest healthcare companies that exist and that trump this one in a heartbeat. Please do yourselves a favour and keep on looking for employment elsewhere because your worth is so much more than what they will offer you. You will not be valued at LMC.
