During my time as a manager, I was asked to prioritize hiring based on appearance—specifically favoring young, attractive women over more qualified candidates. Comments from leadership at the area level often reinforced these biases, sometimes through inappropriate or unprofessional language. Fair, structured hiring practices were not consistently followed or supported.

High school dynamics at play with favouritism based on socialization and not your work ethic, not great tips, tip out ends up being a weird calculation involving your tip amount divided or minus your sales which doesn’t make much sense and you end up with a minuscule tip out after using their mandatory odd equation for tip out
