Cons

Look anywhere else if you want a balanced and non-stess filled life. You will have a terrible schedule, be on call always (especially with the new bid system) and will work weekends for years. You will be called in for absolutely no work just because the company thinks they get value from having you come in and sit and do nothing so they can show to their superiors that they haven't had to pay out any guarantees as everyone is given 40 hours minimum. They will constantly call you and try to have you give up your guarentee by not returning a call within the alloted time, or by telling you there is work when there is not to try and get you to say you can't come in last minute. - Absolutely horrendous work/life balance and the company is continuing to go backwards when the world goes forward on things like this. You will be on call essentially every single day and your start times can shift anywhere from 11:30pm to 10:30am on any given day, and you may not find out until 8-12 hours beforehand what your start time will be making it impossible to have a life outside of work or planning anything. You will be constantly tired for year's not having a proper sleep structure and you will most definitely have a strain on your life outside of work. -Managment is extremely poor and it is a very large revolving door. There is constant practices that are implemented and not followed or enforced. If you're higher on the seniority you are essentially free to do whatever you would like as they are too afraid to enforce any of the rules on you and in turn makes it a very unbalanced place to work depending on where you fall on the seniority list. Problems typically take month's to resolve, you will fill out feedback forms and you will not get many back with a response for a very long time. - Benefits now lacking compared to other plans companies are offering. Used to be a major draw here but it has little updates in the years. You will not be covered for semi private or private hospital stays, and dental benefits are lacking pretty severely now and need to be increased by about 25-30%.

Pros

Co-workers are friendly and good pay and benefits and Union workplace

Cons

Company made a calculating mistake and increased the warehouse pick rate by 25%!!!!!! We had to run our arses off and many guys got hurt. Compensation board investigated.Company convieniently found the calculating mistake when injuries increased and the top performers were not getting it. Do not trust the company or current management here unless you like being lied to or want to run your arse off and get hurt. Unfairness in how management gives the work out.
