The people. Sales Associates & instructors are some of the most talented, intelligent, and hard working people I've ever met.

Cons

Extremely poor communication between corporate team and stores, high expectations with little to no support, toxic and disorganized leadership. Bad decision after bad decision that could have easily been avoided by actually listening to us (not cherry picking the easiest to fix complaint in an attempt to placate us while ignoring the more serious systemic failures.)

The company has moved away from the family-oriented culture that once made it a great place to work. High turnover, inconsistent leadership, and a lack of accountability have negatively impacted employee morale. Poor management behaviors are often tolerated, while the business continues to face operational and growth challenges.

Cons

Where to begin. Everything is so fake. Fake love, fake quality products, fake ethics, fake passion. You will hate your life after you realize the ceo and everyone under him is under immense amount of pressure to perform or get canned. Way too corporate. You will receive no help, just a pat on the back and good lucks. You are a call center no matter if you are a manager or full time or part time - get ready to make thousands of phone calls. You are treated like a piece of dirt. No work life balance at all. Team meetings on your “off” days. No growth in the company. The worst kind of retail culture resides here. DO NOT WORK FOR GUITAR CENTER OR MUSIC & ARTS. SUPPORT LOCAL
