Pros

good salary and that's about it.

Cons

My experience was incredibly bad. I was left on my own to learn the company's specifics. I was an experienced CRA working from home in Canada. I was asked to cover the entire USA and was taking between 6 - 10 planes per week to go here and there and replace people on sick leave for depression. Extremely heavy workload and no support whatsoever. Furthermore, the company did not reimburse my expenses despite me being on time to submit reports. as a result I was stuck in Pittsburg with a corporate credit card loaded (50000$US). I was not able to travel all week on my own credit so I returned home and they refused to pay for the plane ticket and my fare. In addition to that, the credit card not being paid on time resulted in bailiff at my home to have me pay the bill. I did not pay for the credit card but had to pay 6000$ fees for the bailiff... this was totally awful, disrespectful and very frustrating.

Pros

Salary is among the top in the industry.

Cons

Poor training. No support for the new hires. IT helpdesk takes a long time to respond to issue requests. Managers are not accessible, they are too busy with meeting and beeing out of office to help support the CRAs. Resourcing or project allocation is erratic. They will overload you with protocols and make you travel long dsitances (something that was not revealed at the interview!). Clinical Leads for the most part do not know how to manage projects effectively and use the company systems, which is sad.

Pros

Good teams, good systems, excellent flexibility, competitive salary if you negotiate well.

Cons

Lots of work, little relief if you are over allocated. Line Managers are usually good and have the best intentions but also have little power to improve work-balance of their direct reports. Upper management seems either to be disconnected from the feedback or choosing to ignore. Recall town hall meetings where upper management openly blocked the truth when one a brave person actually spoke up!
