      Pay and benefits are above average....Follow the programs and its pretty hard to fail.

      Cons

      Innovation at store level is considered subversive. Do not want their managers to think...just execute whatever task they send...some of which are idiotic and counterproductive. GM's are expected to work massive amounts of overtime at Halloween with no compensation.

      helping people plan their events, 30% discount on items, lots of overtime to work during halloween season

      Cons

      was promoted twice without pay increases, no yearly increases even with an outstanding performance review, a team lead is really an assistant manager but without the paycheque. grossly underpaid for the responsibilities. alot of heavy lifting and dangerous merchandising on top of very tall ladders and customers constantly bumping into ur ladder with their carts. the general managers, assistant managers and team leads are constantly transferred around to different locations, never get to stay at one store long enough.
