Pros

Great online LMS training, good in-store staff, franchise stores seem nice

Cons

Patronizing and condescending corporate management, company unwilling to absorb cost of business, no overtime, enforced sales targets (with no incentive to reach them), no opportunity for advancement, dishonest policies for dealing with charities, no contributions to communities.

Pros

The only thing that is worth talking about with this job is the customers, they are what made my employment experience worth coming to work everyday!

Cons

Here goes my list: -Poor upper management. -Training in any position is mediocre. -Incentives with in stores is poor and does not produce motivation. -Communication between upper management and HR is terrible. -As management is asked to "performance manage" people out so there is no severance due to employees. -Bullying from upper management ( job threats, performance questioned with no real review, mental and emotional abuse) -No recognition for sales performance, or anything that goes above and beyond for that matter. -No regular meetings between managers and staff. -No assistance with issues unless repetitive communication. -Made to rely on managers with in other stores to solve issues brought to DM's (district manager) attention. -No real record of DM's time management. -Told multiple times under DM's supervision to go against policy (hush, hush) -DM's discussing confidential employee issues with anyone. -HR has a lack of involvement with in the company. -Wrongful dismissals -No follow up on "performance" -Brand standards are based on DM's opinion of the manager, You are liked, you pass, you are not liked... well you are targeted! -No follow up after "complaints" are made to head office, therefore the store not knowing what was done wrong or what they could improve on. -Having to deal with no paperwork to back up decisions made by the company -No performance reviews -Poor people skills by DM's -16 hour work days with no help or emotional support -Contradicting statements passed down by DM's to multiple staff, which create confusion and distrust. -Dm's telling remaining staff the WRONG reason you are no longer employed creating slander about former employees.

Pros

the customers and co workers

Cons

The company has lost focus! They worry more about the way they look (we are not a boutique) instead of what the customers want which is affordability. Working incredibly hard to build strong customer relationships just to be told not to do price matching, and if a customer complains about our prices being too high to send them where the price is cheaper which is to the competition.
