Pros

The technical staff and operators for the most part are supportive with each other and willing to help you learn if you are a new employee.

Cons

Management is awful here. They like to hold too many daily meetings about things that could simply be discussed by email such as updates on machines. If not this, they will constantly bombard the radio with hasty demands and questions. This wastes a lot of the manufacturing leadership's time in actually pursuing solutions for production and the already long neglected machinery. As a result, a toxic work culture is fostered where tossing blame around is prioritized rather than a joint collaborative effort.

Pros

Dogs in the office. But there are "non-pet" people who will complain

Cons

1. Layoffs/Restructuring quarterly. 2. No transparency even when on the brink of bankruptcy. 3. No growth opportunities. Someone bragged about waiting 11 years for a management role. 4. Annual raises are below the national inflation rate. Normally 2%

Pros

The employees and technical staff are genuinely dedicated, hardworking, and take pride in doing quality work. Many of the individuals on the floor and in support roles care about the products and each other, which creates a positive peer environment.

Cons

Leadership, including the VP level, plant management and production mgr, did not foster a supportive or collaborative work environment. Decision-making was often reactive, with blame being redirected rather than accountability taken. Training and development were inconsistent, and policy enforcement appeared selective, which contributed to low standards and inconsistent expectations. Preventive maintenance was not prioritized, resulting in equipment downtime, safety concerns, and unsustainable operations. Continuous improvement efforts lacked follow-through, and overall workplace culture suffered as a result. Unfortunately, this was one of the least effective organizational environments I have worked in.
