Pros

Absolutely none whatsoever. You only learn to grow a thick skin because of the different types of people you face everyday. Some people are extremely friendly and they make our lives easier (We need more people like you! Thank you!). However, there are rude, condescending and straight up deceptive people trying to con you in broad daylight and if you are not wary of them, you might have to face the consequences of their actions from the manager and that's something no one looks forward to.

Cons

You get no perks whatsoever and you don't even get a bathroom break if you work in the morning or evening shifts because the customers will keep coming in and they will be mad at you if you lock the door to go to the bathroom for a minute. There is no other way than locking the door as you are the only employee working in the store most of the times because the management refuses to hire a 2nd person to save costs. If you work in the nights, you are expected to clean the entire lot outside without any means of locking the door of the store. Every night, especially in neighborhoods where the crime rate is high, employees are scared of what might happen to them. You either face the dangers of working in the night or face the wrath of the manager in the morning if you don't finish your work because you felt it was unsafe for you to go outside. The management needs to appoint one more employee in every store during the night for safety reasons.
