Pros

Trail by fire- you will learn a lot of skills through necessity, but this will be self-taught as training is inadequate. You will then be undervalued.

Cons

High demands and expectations that are not reflected in remuneration. Lack of respect. Uninspired upper management. Lack of perks unless you are already overpaid.

Pros

Poundland has given me the opportunity to express my ideas and get involved in major changes mainly since Jim McCarthy arrived in 2006 i have contributed to its success since 2002 to 2014 meanwhile i learned and shaped my skills there. It is a great company to work for especially working with wonderfull people in head office lead by Jom McCarthy who is really an idol for most of us.

Cons

As any company there are some minor things which to be improved but poundland still better than many big companies
