Pros

- Compensation: Competitive starting salary, though i heard that recently SOTI showed tighter wage and stricter policies. - Travel: Moderate work travel, just enough to provide variety without becoming overwhelming. - Work-Life Balance: Strong, reliable work-life balance. - Career Growth: Some internal opportunities at the start to gain experience, though advancement doesn't always come with significant pay increases. - Culture & Team: A varied social environment; while not the majority, there are some truly good and supportive colleagues. - Career Launchpad: Good to kickstart a career with many areas to learn from, some very qualified people, many learning opportunities. - Tasks: Highly versatile roles with an open floor for sharing ideas, though budget constraints limits execution.

Cons

- Management Culture: Highly punitive and unsupportive management style characterized by a lack of recognition, backdoor criticism, humiliations and unprofessional behaviors that in other companies would lead to be sacked, however management is protected at SOTI, and you can’t count on HR. - Leadership Style: Pervasive micromanagement that stifles autonomy and damages employee morale. - Team Dynamics: Low team spirit and a fractured workplace culture. A culture of blame where employees are held responsible for a lack of innovation, despite leadership withholding the necessary resources, time and tools to execute new ideas. - Career Progression: Limited growth potential due to the small, rigid structure of the marketing department. It’s easy to move up as a beginner but you won’t go that high as there’re no role available than your manager. - Trends: Behind of current trends (AI). They go on about AI in their white papers but don’t use it efficiently, don’t share or implement marketing innovations. They are not a thought leader, it’s all talk.

Pros

Paychecks arrive on time (the only reliable thing here).

Cons

favouritism is a serious problem here and it often feels like it matters more than actual work or performance. Promotions, flexibility, recognition, and better treatment seem to go to people who are close with management, while everyone else is held to a completely different standard. Some people are allowed to work remotely for months without issue, but others get questioned or micromanaged over a single work from home request. HR is not much help either. Unqualified favorites are allowed to coast, while hard working employees are pushed aside, stripped of responsibilities, or blamed for having a bad attitude when they speak up. The positive reviews about the culture feel very vague and hard to believe compared to what employees actually deal with. Job seekers should read the negative reviews carefully, ask direct questions in interviews about promotions, turnover, fairness, and how complaints are handled, and be cautious before accepting an offer. So, does this sound like a challenge you’re ready to take on? Or maybe you’re desperate to feed your family and have no other option. If so, welcome to SOTI where survival depends not on talent, but on how well you play along with corruption. It can seriously affect your confidence and mental health.
