      Pros

      It's a union job but apparently union is super inactive and tends to do nothing so u end up wasting your union dues.

      Cons

      Well no specific working hours ur day can last 8-14 hr without any prior notice. Very unstable job u might not get work for 1month straight and then when you look for other jobs they will expect u to be at work full-time ditching your new job. You won't get any jackets from them even if you work in -3 degrees. Lots of politics involved between management and union.

      Pros

      Secuirguard Services standards of security and professionalism are greatly valued. Being in the company for more than a year I have seen several changes. These changes mimic the ever changing environment at Vancouver YVR airport. A company with such a high level of professionalism in a dynamic environment only shows how structured and stable Securiguard Services is at Vancouver YVR airport. A lot of great opportunities to display skill.

      Cons

      Some of the Cons at working with Securiguard Services is not the job itself, but about Management and the Union. I have seen several individuals who have been wrongly convicted by Management. Even with the support of the Union, the final outcome does not change with any understanding of the employee. The employees well-being here are not as appreciated and considered compared to other companies. Securiguard Services Management is more focused on covering up faults in Management rather than trying to resolve them, which prevents and restricts the overall growth of the company.

      Pros

      If you have a desire or want to feel to be treated like a bonded slave,this is the place to work. They lack total apathy to the reality on field level. Integrity of intent is very doubtful.

      Cons

      Big philosophical talk on values, mission and motto and in reality a total farce on ground level. The field supervisor are sneaky, uneducated, no sense of Man-Age-Ment. They are insecure and lack basic skills of supervisor a dn why not as their superiors lead by example.
