Pros

There was a lot of opportunity to take days off, good discounts.

Cons

I was with Servco for over 20 years. In the past the management really cared. Now it's all about making money. Motor Imports is a good example, customers are upsold a lot of unnecessary repairs, the current manageri doesn't manage, just stays in his office all day. $3,000 to $4,000 UPSELL repair bills are common. There is hardly any training on new cars, and no hands on training for the recall. Servco even uses untrained and uncertified guys to do the 3,000 and 5,000 mile services. But they claim all work is done by factory trained technicians.

Pros

Overall the company is very good. They take care of their people, providing good benefits and salaries. If you are working in any department other than marketing, it seems to be great!

Cons

Your work isn't valued, you feel disposable. There's no clear progression plan for any position in marketing. The turnover is very high, which is understandable given the lack of progression and goals set for each person. There seems to be no promotion from within the department, which also causes low morale. Due to the constant turnover, work isn't done efficiently. You're always scrambling to meet deadlines. The employee satisfaction scores for the department has been the lowest for the past 5 years out of the entire company, that says a lot.

Pros

The company does a good job allowing me to balance my work and home life. They also try to do different things to show their appreciation for the employees like when we were provided buying assistance to advance our knowledge of new technology and how it could help with our work and home life. The company values their employees and provides many services and programs that encourage personal and professional growth. Paid education, seminars and company training are just a few. I have worked for Servco for many years now and work with an awesome team of good people. I look forward to being there till retirement.

Cons

While the work compensation is fair and the benefits are great, I feel that there are some very good, hard working leaders that are not being used to their potential. I think there are less opportunties for advancement within the company than there was in past years that might make retention of those good people harder than before.
