Pros

- Different shifts available. - Can sleep at work/watch TV/ do nothing and you'll never get fired or even in trouble. (From what I have seen from staff!)

Cons

- Do not promote from within/ provide adequate educational opportunities ( preference given to 1.0 EFT which most positions are not) - Poor communication between management and staff, especially in Community Program. - Training and follow-up are a joke, no one is ever let go during probation period.... MAYBE if you caused a death of an individual. - Team Leaders/ Management are rude, ineffective and put their duties onto other staff, do not work effectively as a team. (Lots of 'power tripping!!') - No third party to report issues that are not handled properly (or at all) that have an effect on individual and staff's safety/ work environment. When staff come forward often makes their lives at work hell, clients are not listened to or respected by their advocates. -THE MISSION STATEMENT!

Pros

The reason St.Amant is in existence is honorable and noble. The majority of Front Line staff care about the people they support. The volunteer department care and support the volunteers! The work that is being done with Volunteers and clients is great!

Cons

While the work of the front line staff should be commended, the management need to looked further into. The turnover from what I could see in the HR department is crazy! The manager of the area is under-educated, overpaid and is only interested in herself from what I have observed. Though with the amount of turnover I'm sure something will be done to correct this manager. No wonder so many people are leaving there. The community homes need an overhaul, people being mandated because of the way they schedule the homes. The workers receive no support in the homes and very poor training. The ABA Tutors need to be paid much more for the environments and conditions they work in alone with a child on a daily basis!

Pros

Beautiful work environment , friendly clients

Cons

Management does not care about your life they are quick to mandate you to continuous work when they don’t have anyone to cover the shift . If they tell you to mandate if you say no , they will call you to the head office for violation of rules
