Pros

- Choose your own hours - Work from home - Frequent bonuses - Online chatroom filled with other specialists whenever you have questions/concerns - Weekly payments - Responsive supervisors (mentors) - Chance to learn new things (I learn more about writing as I work, but I also learn from the students' submissions sometimes!) - Opportunity to make a higher hourly wage as you go* * I need to expand on this point. I started with a base pay of $15/hr Canadian. After 30 submissions, that increases to $16.50 for the remainder of the work week (Mon-Sun). The pay per submission is based on the expected time that a submission will take to complete. For example, they expect that a document of 5000 words will take an hour to complete; thus, you would receive $15 (or $16.50 if you've hit your bonus) after completion. However, if the document is particularly well written, or you are a very focused worker and fast typer, it might take you less than 60 minutes to review the document; yes, you really can provide thorough and useful feedback on 5000+ words in under 60 minutes! I've been with Studiosity for almost a year now, and it took me at least 6 months to really find my groove, but now I can work at a faster rate than expected of me (sometimes; I do get slowed down by some more difficult submissions). This means that I can do more work in less time, resulting in a very rewarding and satisfying experience! I love this job, and I hope I never have to leave it.

Cons

- Slow times throughout the year (January-February are painful, so save up your money before the work dries up!) - Takes a while to get the hang of things. As I said, it took me 6 months to find my groove. Before that, I was working at a slower rate than my wage implied (it might take me 2 hours to earn that $15). I powered through, didn't complain, and refused to be discouraged, and I don't regret it.

Thank you so much for your review. We really appreciate the detail you added here. Good advice too! Many of our Subject Specialists say it takes some time to ''find their groove'' but once they do this job is a perfect fit for those that need flexibility and to work from home. We hope you continue to work with us for many years to come! P.S. No news right now on the North American front, but we are continuing to expand in the UK and that growth should help somewhat with our usually quiet January / February.

Pros

- Work when you want and how much you want (for writing feedback), sometimes the work you review is interesting.

Cons

- Pay could be a bit better. They expect you to have a university degree but the pay doesn't exactly justify that, particularly with the current levels of student debt.

Pros

Provides a very good platform for Hassel free earnings.

Cons

It's kind of seasonal and a little intense.

Thank you for your feedback! Writing Feedback work is definitely seasonal in nature, as it follows the trends of an academic calendar. :)
