The day is only 8 hours long on paper. Which means working free overtime gets in the way of my personal life. People seem to think I'm anti social because I never go out. If the day was lets say another 4 hours, (representative of the time I put in) my family and loves ones would understand. Its not that I don't love them. Its that I don't have time or energy to love them. - Payroll is a nightmare no one knows anything - Asking anyone for a review is a waste of time my requests have been ignored - Openly lied to and corsed to do extra work "as a team player" - Getting expenses paid out was months of back and forth It really feels like the kind of place where as an IT contractor, you are going to get hung out to dry. Between the Ontario labor board and TEK you can forget about ever feeling too relaxed. TEK employes some good people, so I know the ISSUES come from the top. However even those good people are neutered and useless.

Your regular working hours are 52.5 hours/week and with the "optional" extra hours (which is not really "optional") you can expect to work 55-60 hour weeks, but you get paid for 40. Micro-management to the max, big brother mentality, very high turnover. If you don't follow the "TEK mentality" your stay may be short. The culture is almost like a cult. If you have strong ethics this might not be the company for you.
