Pros

If you live north of the city, you can work in their office without commuting too far...that's about all I can think of?

Cons

They have some of the worst management. I worked at head office in Markham, which was such a joke. There was sleezy management constantly hitting on the girls, numerous extramarital affairs not to mention they would keep awful employees just because they had been there for so long. I'm all for loyalty, but this was out of control. It was a horrible office environment. If you took a complaint to HR, it never went anywhere. They made up rules and policy as they went to protect whatever vice president needed protecting.

Pros

Not much pros to this company other then the time off with the position I am currently in.

Cons

-foreman and lead hands sit in the office and do no supervision of employees or summer students -instructed to do one thing and then get written up for doing that and told you did it wrong -employees who do nothing and break equipment seem to move up in company while employees who are competent have no chance of advancement -low pay -unpaid lunches even when working through lunches -when equipment breaks its often a band aid solution and causes more issues in the end -when you ask for something to be done about safety you will often be told that they can always find other people to do it -if you say anything about wages you will be told to be happy you have a job -if you have a question about anything you will be told they will look into it and never hear anything about it -constant errors on pay and told there's not an error in hope you just give up -some employees actually sleep more then half of their shift and nothing gets done even when caught -some equipment left in horrible condition after shifts and left for employees to clean when they come in -employees who do time cards often change other employees hours and add hours to theirs -employees outside management often are aloud to use company vehicles for personal use -employees who do not get jobs they have wanted have used vehicle to damage property and equipment and kept theyre jobs while some have been fire just because management didn't like them

Pros

Great bunch of guys to work with & great maintainence staff.

Cons

MANAGEMENT! They do not care about their employees, they will fire you just for the heck of it if you tick them off in anyway shape or form. They have no degrees or experience in the industry. The pay is horrible. Way below standard rate. The benefits suck. Pension is worth pennies. You have to work until you die to survive. If your not BFF's with management you are on their hit list. No work/life balance. You need to work 14 hour days just to pay the bills at home. They do not allow lunch breaks. Theyy force you to eat while your partner is driving and then vice versa. No stopping allowed. Too many dog poopers getting away with murder leaving all the hard working guys to pick up the slack. You are required to stay until EVERYONES routes are done.
