- it's a lot of work, serving a single table takes forever because of the complimentary bread, soup or salad, ice cream, and free refills and free coffee that you have to bring to every table (as opposed to just bringing drinks and a meal and maybe dessert in a regular restaurant)
- it's impossible to up-sell anything because of all the free stuff the customers can get - and you heavily criticized for not up-selling things
- this also attracts really cheap customers who will barely tip you
- management always has favorites
- if you don't like children, don't work here, there's always kids screaming and demanding something
- some of the furniture is pretty old and probably has mold in it
- the place often smells repulsive
- the tip out is high
- there is no automatic gratuity added to the bill if you have a party, you have to ask for it
- you frequently need to serve the large parties that will take up all of your shift, without any guarantee that you will get a tip at the end
- the owner is so cheap, the back area of the restaurant is practically falling apart and crumbling, it badly needs renovations
- if you aren't one of managers favorites' they will get annoyed at you for even attempting to take a sick day, will insist that you come in to work no matter what
- the management is sexist, and will constantly criticize you for your appearance and will insist your uniform does not look right, if you are a female staff member and you are not wearing a skirt
