MANAGEMENT - This company has been in a slow downhill spiral for quite some time. I have had growing concerns for years that the company as a whole was not being run properly. It is quite comical to read the "Tolko Responses" addressed to some of the reviews below, it is funny because I likely know the people who are writing these reviews and how the company has shaped or brainwashed those people into drinking the "Tolko Blue". The responses are ironic because they show the exact reason why there is a problem with Tolko, NOBODY WILL ADMIT THERE IS A PROBLEM! They offer sinceraty as if they are truly passionate about how the employee feels and they try to express this in their responses to these reviews. it is nothing more then a front and please do not be fooled by these. I love how they say in one review how they are one of BC's employers of choice, ask the majority of people who work for tolko their opinion and I believe you would be shocked. That is the problem with a publication like that, its bias.
Other issues include - good people leaving the company. Multiple people have left in the last 1-2 years as a result of the way the company is run. Everyone knows it is operating poorly and as some of the previous reviews have stated there is quite the project that is going on and costing the company endless amounts of money. Constantly delayed but another great example of how things are done here. Do it wrong 100 times than finally do it right.
PAST 6 MONTHS - There has been even more increasing concern with how the new VP has been handling some issues within. There have been employees leaving due to the way he is running things, Managers asked to retire or be forced out and also an instance where managament intentionally lied to fire an employee. The peers within our company know these things have happened and have become concerned with who they can or cannot trust. Overall this is a company I would not recommend to anyone. Until the concerns above are addressed and new leadership is brought in, it is a place to avoid. Might be a good starter career option but it seems like anyone with a reasonable education soon learns they can go elsewhere. Somtimes publicly traded companies are the way to go as they can and will be held accountable when the company is run poorly year after year. In this case its run poorly and will continue to be run poorly until it not longer exists. I agree with previous statements that this company may also be sold in the future so be careful here.
