Pros

Pay, benefits, pension and hours are all excellent and very competitive. You actually work so few hours that it is easy to pick up a second job.

Cons

Politics, inefficiencies and toxic culture makes the place unbearable. Unfortunately this negates any pros mentioned above and I would not recommend Toronto Hydro if you want to build a fulfilling career. This place is not what it used to be 25 yrs ago.

good pay and benefits, including the extended benefits, the pension plan, fitness benefits, etc.; great place to gain experience in energy sector

Cons

Bureaucratic, command and control culture; management has a poor relationship with the union which creates friction and animosity and lowers productivity as they constantly are battling
