Where your career goes to die

Pros

You will learn how a company is badly run, and look for the opposite in your future job searches. Please reach out to former and past employees to get a full picture on this place.

Cons

Huge red flags I should have looked into before coming in; Check out the median tenure of employees there - it's 0.8 years on LinkedIn - the place is a revolving door. * CEO has been pushing out emails about following the Bible for months, no one on HR has the spine to tell him that this isn't a great look * No equity despite people being promised that this is in the works * No systems or processes in place, and no one to drive these forward. Attempts at this are bottlenecked due to having leadership involved in every move * Not a comfortable place to be for those who are not of the Christian faith * Leadership hires their friends, despite speaking a big game about diversity * Everyone I spoke to is a flight risk - * No parental leave * Despite voicing concerns, fell on deaf ears * They use the Microsoft Suite *Product itself is dated and they're very sales focused - not product focused * This is just what i can share publicly at this point ----

Pros

I can’t think of any, maybe some of the people?

Cons

No diversity No training No career growth No moving forward Leadership will dismiss anything you have to say Leadership is like a cult from another company- let me explain. Basically, a bunch of them used to work at another company before this and now everyone from there is constantly pulled into Versapay. 90% sure they don’t even interview, just because they are friends of senior leaders, they are brought on board. Salary is a joke Employee retention is a joke, they literally do not care about anyone leaving Culture is the absolute worst “diversity is a core” is the biggest laugh of them all. Just wanna mention the CEO was on a woman’s day panel that was geared to talk about womens struggles in the workplace. LOL To the people who wrote “this is where your career goes to die” and “run by white people for white people” 100% agree. This is not where you want to end up or get stuck this place is straight up disgusting.

Pros

If you ask anyone who works at Versapay, “what is the best thing about the company?” The response will be “people.” However, that is too broad of a response, “people” implies executives, leaders, individual contributors and all the above. The correct response is “individual contributors and select middle management individuals.” Some of the most hard working, dedicated, honest people I have encountered in my career are individual contributors at Versapay, BUT, the same cannot be said about the Leadership Team.

Cons

The LT does not think or care about their employees, they do not empower, acknowledge, or reward top performers, and they are in it for the money. They speak about the importance of execution, but their words are meaningless as they never get around to solving the root cause of all the problems. Any time you raise a concern or ask a tough question, their response is always a quote from whatever book they are reading at their book club, i mean.... LT offsites... Versapay is your classic white male dominated company with a twist, beware of the religious slant.
