- “Optional” social events are not optional. There are company trips and parties that are uncomfortable to attend, and even more uncomfortable to avoid. They invite entertainment that is mean and degrading to fellow employees. - Long hours. There is an unsaid rule about hours worked. After 5, many stay late and it feels awkward leaving before them. Managers are not clear about day-to-day work expectations. - Working from home. They mention it’s a flexible option for everyone, but expect you to justify your reason each time. It’s hush-hush and managers act like it’s flexible, but it’s still far from normal. - Long hiring process. Total process took 2 months, 7+ interviews (3 in person, 3-4 phone calls). - Incapable of admitting fault. The team mentioned reviews online are total bogus. Admit your faults and work on them! Those are your past AND current employees. - Management, not leadership. The managers and directors at Wasserman prioritize advancing their career over their team members. Many managers miss meetings, take calls during meetings, and are too busy to chat with day-to-day. It’s clear they’re taking on big projects and exhausted. Allow time for leadership and attention for your team. - Unlike other companies, the workplace is far from diverse. There’s a particular type and it’s very evident.
