Pros

Pros - helping kind and appreciative yoga students and teachers get to their class and keeping the studio organized. Also you get free yoga classes for working there, if you choose to go. The facade of the studio and the community of students are nice.

Cons

Superficial workplace. Poor management. Poor scheduling. Poor behaviour towards staff by the new scheduling coordinator. They will not care what hours or days you give, be prepared to neglected/not scheduled if not liked by management. They also keep changing up their rules about their scheduling. Inconsistent and unprofessional. They can't keep staff. Mistreatment of staff. Really bad favouritism at the studio. Nitpicking. Inconsistency. Lack of cleanliness. Poor treatment of EEP if not favoured. Poor air quality during colder or warmer seasons. You're pushed to work regardless of how broken their AC/heater is. Many typos and issues found in their legal contracts. Poor staff management. Poor staff training. Potential MLM format. Not taking in the feedback of their employees to improve the behaviour of their management and coordination team. Passive aggressive management. Disrespectful management. High expectations and low compensation. Rude, hurtful, condescending behaviour from the management and coordination team due to favouritism and nitpicking. Consistent changes to the schedule without consent or your knowledge simply because of favouritism and the scheduling coordinator's lack of professionalism. Poor communication. No room for growth. Lack of fairness. Poor cleanliness of the studio or respect for cleanliness. Maybe once good, but Yoga Tree is losing their management and credibility. There are only few good teacher and team members left. They will leave too if this continues because we have all been burnt out and felt taken for granted by these problematic behavioural issues of the higher coordinators and management. Absolutely not okay. Not worth the disrespect.

Pros

Yoga instructors are friendly, good sense of community and an easy job overall.

Cons

Having to learn on the job- no formal training given to new employees. Terrible front-desk set up which requires employees to crane their necks down at the computer screen. No ergonomic practices in place, ironic for a yoga studio. Upper management doesn't seem to care about the facilities at Richmond and Spadina. Heating/cooling issues/no insulation in men's changerooms. Pest issues (mice/ roaches). Inconsistent/no support from upper management/ Understaffed. No benefits. No shift coverage. Forced to work while sick. Inconsistencies in staff scheduling/yoga instructor scheduling. No urgency from management to help with any immediate issues.

Pros

- Free classes w/ varied instructors and times so you can def find something you like - Sauna at the dundas location - I see bad reviews of the owners, they were nice to me

Cons

- being treated like this is a difficult job that requires actual effort aka constant micro-management about the most basic things - sometimes clients were legit crazy. complaining about it's .5 degrees off -- cue"some people have war in their country" meme
