It just keeps getting worse. Record turnover, and rock bottom morale

Pros

Some signs the company may be bought... hopefully that leads to a replacement of the arrogant leadership team, who love the sycophants and punish people who try to be honest about issues.

Cons

Mean spirited - culture of dog eat dog due to overwork, constant change and loss of staff (who gave up on the company). Never seen such a pervasive culture of pounding on employees for more. Driven down or out. Survival there makes people mean. No way to know each quarter if comp will be 25% or 150%. CEO is a micro managing narcissist and a bully. Laying off and transferring people when we are desperately understaffed and stressed. Clients don't trust the company. Keep removing benefits and hoping people don't notice.

People are awesome but...

Pros

All the hours you want....even if you don't.

Cons

Work life balance is non existent. They let go a quarter of our team the day they bought out our company, which by their own admittance wasn't a good idea. After two months of working 60-75 hours a week and them not hiring anyone, or really holding interviews, I left for much greener pastures.

Pros

Ability to work from home was a pro, apparently that's no longer allowed.

Cons

I joined Allstream two weeks before it was acquired by Zayo. In their rush to save money by shutting down systems and trying to run an enterprise on Salesforce (where it becomes Salesfarce) they threw away data they were legally bound to keep for 7 years. I was kept on, despite my salary being over double what they generally pay Salesforce developers, because they had commitments to the Government to produce specific, custom software. The moment that software was completed I was let go. Ironically, 3 months after being laid off I received a performance bonus for my work.
