Our efforts to achieve a more equal gender balance across our global membership have built momentum in recent years. At the end of our last financial year in March 2023, women made up 40% of our global membership, the highest it has been in our almost 80-year history. We’re proud to have achieved for the first time the 40/60 gender balance goal that we’ve been working towards. But while we celebrate this achievement, we acknowledge there is more work to be done. We will need to maintain this gender ratio – or improve on it. We are also committed to increasing the proportion of women across our leadership grades.
