Our Community Nursing Services (CNS) team of volunteers is currently on day 3 of their trip to Guatemala. Are you following along on their blog? Today our volunteer team set up their first clinic in San Carlos Huitzil, Guatemala and they treated approximately 145 people of all ages! They set up a reception area, five nursing assessment areas, a physician consultation zone, an eye-glass area, pharmacy, and finally, a care-package area that allowed for distribution of essential toiletries and special “treats” for the children (shoes, hats, toys etc.).
