Cintas views disabilities as sources of strength and diversity, not as defining characteristics. Our eight-year partnership with Project SEARCH Arkansas: ACCESS Initiative in Partnership with Arkansas Rehabilitation Services in Little Rock, AR embraces the unique talents of individuals with developmental disabilities, giving them a sense of empowerment and independence. Project SEARCH helps us continually expand disability inclusion across all locations. When employee-partners thrive, we all succeed! Read the success stories and more about our partnership with ProjectSEARCH.
When we bring together over 450 employee-partners from more than 60 locations nationwide united under a common goal, we can accomplish anything. That’s exactly what our First Aid & Safety division has accomplished this holiday season through their #JoyofGiving campaign – a collective effort to give back to our local communities. We appreciate the ongoing attention and dedication our employee-partners provide our local and national charitable partners. Thank you for helping share the Spirit of Cintas with those who can benefit from it the most.
Since its launch in 2019, #CintasCares initiatives have raised over $10 million in funds for our philanthropic partnerships. Last week, on #GivingTuesday, we’re reminded that the act of giving back can uplift our local and global communities.
People everywhere are impacted by breast cancer – including some of our own employee-partners. To show our support for the fight against breast cancer, Cintas and our partners have dedicated time, energy and support for this cause. This year, we've raised over $60,000 for the American Cancer Society, adding to the total support given since 1984.
Cintas values the experience and perspective veterans bring to our team. That's why more than 1,400 veterans have found meaningful careers here. “It’s all about hard work, integrity, professionalism, goal setting and being part of a team,” says former U.S. Marine and current VP of Talent Acquisition, David Coe. It’s also why we go above and beyond to build a supportive environment for them through our Partner Business Resource Group (PBRG), Cintas VALOR.
More than 350,000 cardiac arrests happen outside of the hospital every year in the U.S. Here’s how one event trained over 700 individuals in the local Cincinnati community for these cardiac emergencies. Together with the Cincinnati Bengals and American Heart Association, we prepared over 700 participants on cardiac emergencies using hands-only CPR and AED training, guided by our First Aid & Safety employee-partners at Paycor Stadium. In honor of Disability Employment Awareness Month, Cintas is spotlighting Akuma N., where he says "a career in Union, N.J. 'brought me back to life'". Living with a disability is filled with challenges that Akuma N. knows all too well. Akuma, a folder at the Rental Location in Union, N.J., is visually impaired. The Nigerian-born employee-partner said his six-year Cintas career has provided critical personal validation. He has mastered folding multiple products in a welcoming and accepting environment.
