Congratulations to our Swainsboro mill! Swainsboro celebrated its fifth consecutive win in the local Pinetree Festival this year. Coordinated by the mill's Pinetree Festival Committee and Employee Engagement team, Interfor's parade float was a train built with Interfor lumber. Michael Terry, one of the mill's Quality Control Techs, was the lead builder. This photo shows all the Interfor participants and their families.
Bruce Luxmoore and Tim Lowrimore joined other industry representatives at Governor Nathan Deal’s office on Tuesday for the signing of HB 876 ending the practice of lumber bans and HB 695 creating a new license plate to fund forestry education in Georgia. Together, industry and government will continue to ensure Georgia is, as the new license plate states, “#1 Forestry State in the Nation.”
