With our commitment to enrich our students, we recently wrapped up this year’s LIFT (Leadership Inspiring Future Talent) Speaker Series at Lactalis Canada. Designed to offer interns a well-rounded view of our business, the series features leaders from across departments offering students firsthand insight into how each function contributes to the high quality, nutritious products Canadian's know and love. Each session is created to help our interns explore different career paths, understand the inner workings of our operations, and see how cross-functional collaboration drives our success. From our CEO Mark Taylor and CHRO Matt Price's warm welcome, to deep dives with leaders from our Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams, our interns walked away with a deeper and valuable understanding of our business. A special thank you to Laura Davis Thomson (MBA, MSc), Chris Smith, Rose Postiglione and Martin Santerre, Eng., MBA for taking the time to share their expertise and inspire the next generation of talent at Lactalis Canada!
This summer, we welcomed 48 interns across our operating sites who brought fresh perspectives, curiosity, and real energy to teams across Marketing, R&D, Finance, Operations, and more. With hashtag#NationalInternDay coming up this week on July 31st , we're celebrating the impact they’ve made — tackling projects, building connections, and helping to shape the future of Lactalis Canada with us. Our Victoriaville Team showed up with heart and high spirits at the Festival des Fromages, Bouffe & Traditions — and what a weekend it was! With over 14,000 visitors celebrating local food, culture, and entertainment, the event showcased the incredible know-how of cheesemakers and regional agri-food producers. As a sponsor of the Gourmet Trail, Lactalis Canada brought bold flavours and cheesy fun to the crowd, featuring our iconic Ficello Extreme Cheese Strings in zesty Nacho Jalapeño and Pizza varieties. The event was supported through our Community Enrichment Fund — helping us give back and build connections in the communities where we live and work. Big cheers to our Victoriaville plant team for bringing the energy — and to everyone who joined us!
A warm welcome to our 2025 Summer Interns! ☀️ Through the Lactalis Canada NextGen Internship Program, we are excited to welcome over 50 talented students who have joined teams across our operating sites — from Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Strategy, R&D, and more! After an engaging two-day onboarding at our Toronto head office last week, our talented interns dove into a variety of exciting activities designed to enrich their experience. Highlights included a fun and interactive milkshake signature contest, a collaborative and entertaining ice-breaker “back drawing” activity, and some Insight trainings. 🚀 We can't wait to see the incredible contributions they will make this summer and wish our 2025 summer interns a great hashtag#LactalisExperience ahead.
