Have you driven on a highway in Alberta? It was likely constructed by our Highway Construction team! Pictured is Highway 43.
Did You Know? Kentucky wired is a middle mile telecommunications network that is bringing approximately 5,150 km (3,200 mi) of high-speed, high-capacity fiber optic internet connectivity to all of Kentucky’s 120 counties. This Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) project provides greater connectivity, accessibility and opportunities for economic growth across the Commonwealth.
Congratulations to Ledcor's Highway Construction Paving Crew and partners from ARA Engineering Ltd and Alberta Transportation for receiving the 2019 Awards of Merit for Construction Partnering. The award is the result of work by the crew in fall 2019 and recognizes the contributions of three Highways group employees on an Alberta Transportation Project on Hwy 2A:36 in the Peace River Region. We are proud to work on projects where we make a difference! With our partners, we have completed all major construction efforts, and migrated over 100 government entities onto Kentuckywired Our LTS Service Provider team is now actively maintaining the network, responsible for 24/7 monitoring, maintenance, and network outage restoral. In addition to connecting approximately 1,000 government and public facilities, private companies can connect to the network along its path and lease fiber to extend their services to consumers. There is now greater accessibility and opportunities for economic growth across the Commonwealth.
