Our colleagues have spoken and we are proud to be ranked 39 in Glassdoor's Best Places to Work in 2021. We asked Payal Sahni Becher, Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, what this award means to her? "Being included in this list is particularly meaningful because it is ranked on direct, unsolicited colleague feedback. At Pfizer, we pride ourselves on our patient-centric purpose and being a place where colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives want to work and can be seen, heard, and cared for."
We are ranked 39 for US large companies on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work in 2021. Thank you to our Pfizer colleagues for transforming the future of science and for bringing us into a new era.
"During High School, I had no idea what I would end up doing for a career, I thought I wanted to be a pharmacist however this job is so much better. Just looking at all the hands touching our vaccines and all the hard work that goes into them, I am in awe of my fellow scientists every day. So lucky to be a part of the journey to eradicating not only the COVID virus but other viruses, rare diseases, and even cancer" - Shannon #ScienceWillWin
We are #PfizerProud to have Mona Babury, our Global D&I Lead speak at the Manufacturing Institute's D&I Summit. Topics of discussion included racial diversity in the workplace, challenges and opportunities in manufacturing and a conversation to celebrate the successes so far. Globally we still have a long way to go but we are proud to help foster D&I experiences to inspire the wider community.
We asked Director of GMP Compliance at the Chapel Hill site, BethAnne Bort, about the level of collaboration of the Gene Therapy team: “There is always open communication, our Vice Presidents are constantly in touch with us – it’s just a lot of great exposure. There is a constant support, if we ever need anything, we can go to them. It’s a very enabling and supportive leadership team, which I have not found anywhere else.” Pfizer as an entity treasures the idea of collaboration and that value spreads throughout the organization. Our Global President & GM of Pfizer Oncology Andy Schmeltz and team are focused on changing the story of cancer from one of loss to one of hope. COVID-19 is having an impact on the cancer community as doctors are reporting an alarming drop-off in cancer screenings and follow-up appointments. Thank you Pfizer colleagues for initiating the Get It Done program, a new initiative that encourages people to speak with their doctors and get back to their appointments as delaying treatment can have fatal consequences. "My colleagues and I recognized we had to act – and act quickly. Some of them were cancer survivors themselves and knew the conflicting emotions that people living with cancer have felt about visiting their doctors during this pandemic. We knew we could not shy away from this responsibility." Visit GetCancerScreened.com for a source of support during COVID-19 and beyond.
