Switzer-CARTY Transportation and 417 Bus Line Ltd. are proud to support the Madoc Lions Club. They are known in the community as "a little club with a big heart", and it's the truth. We had the pleasure of partnering with the Madoc Lions to support the annual trip for the Madoc 385 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps. The trip to Ripley's Aquarium was a huge success! Investing in our youth is so important, and we love seeing them thrive.
What a fantastic day at the United Way Windsor-Essex Neighbourhood Celebration event in Leamington on August 29th! Our Switzer-CARTY team was excited to be on hand for the United Way's Pathway to Potential program launch. We had a booth set up with our mini bus, where we shared important information on school bus safety, handed out fun colouring books and stickers, and helped get families ready for the new school year. Thanks to our incredible ambassadors, Bonnie H. and Barbara K., for making it such a success! They loved meeting so many members of the local community. 🚌

Three Generations, One Team! Meet an incredible multi-generational family from our Greely branch. On the left is Kathy, a driver with over 20 years of experience. On the far right is her daughter Jasmine, a driver trainer with 14 years in the busing industry. In the middle are Jasmine’s daughters, Beth and Faith, who have been instrumental in our summer bus washing program. We could not be more proud to have generations of a family working together. Their dedication, from decades of experience to getting our buses sparkling clean for the new school year, is what makes #TeamSwitzerCARTY so special. ⭐
The most beautiful projects are created with the deepest love. ❤️ Meet Doug, one of our incredible drivers. Beyond his daily dedication to driving the future, Doug demonstrates his profound commitment to our community by donating his earnings to the local hospital to support other families. His generosity is matched only by his heart. Doug spent his summer creating this beautiful flower bed at our Bancroft yard as a heartfelt tribute to his late wife, a hobby they shared. The special red flower which will bloom at the centre serves as a touching symbol of her memory. Doug, you are a shining example of the values we hold dear. Your compassion, kindness, and heart are what make #TeamSwitzerCARTY so special.
What makes a workplace feel like home? For us, it's moments like this... Four years ago, Melanie moved to the Ottawa region and started working at our Clarence-Rockland branch. Before and after school, her daughter Skylar would also spend time at the branch, and she quickly became a honorary team member. At the end of June, following her Grade 6 graduation ceremony, Skylar came to the branch to show off her beautiful dress and to share this special milestone. Her only ask: "a photo with her family". 💛 This is what #ItTakesAVillage truly means to us.
