Sixteen Senior Living and Global Solutions employees from the Yardi office in Boise, Idaho, added their energy to the Idaho Foodbank’s mission during a recent visit to the organization’s headquarters in Meridian, about 10 miles west of Boise.

Every child deserves a safe, supportive space to grow, learn and thrive. For many families in Saskatoon, accessing essential mental health support is a challenge. Long wait times, financial barriers and systemic barriers often mean that those who need help the most are left struggling. BGC Saskatoon is working to change that. For low- and middle-income families, getting mental health support through the public system often means waiting nine months to a year and a half,” said Heidi Carl, CEO of BGC Saskatoon. “By the time they reach the top of the list, their phone number might have changed two or three times, or they’ve moved. We’re able to bridge that gap because they trust us.”
Combatting food insecurity on a large scale requires dedication and innovation. A leading nonprofit in Australia, with Yardi’s help, is rising to the challenge. Our Big Kitchen is a large-scale facility in Sydney that cooks and distributes meals (about 250,000 every year) to disadvantaged Australians. OBK was founded in 2005 by Rabbi Dovid Slavin and his wife Laya as a modest communal cooking experience. The couple soon acted on a larger vision, turning the basement of a Yeshiva center into an industrial kitchen with help from labor donated by builders, excavators, painters, electricians and others. Yardi Australia has been a corporate contributor to OBK for several years. In March, more than 40 employees from the Sydney office spent a day at the kitchen, helping prepare several hundred meals that were immediately shipped to needy community members directly or through a network of more than 40 charities.
