The recruiting process initially felt organized and professional, and the recruiter/behavioral interview experiences were positive. However, my final technical interview left me with a much different impression of the company culture.
The interviewer came across as unnecessarily dismissive and condescending throughout the conversation. I was repeatedly told my responses were “not what he was looking for,” even after providing clarification and asking what specifically he wanted me to elaborate on. When discussing projects, I clearly explained they were student/group projects and walked through my personal contributions, even showing my GitHub and implementation details, but the feedback still felt overly critical rather than constructive.
I completely understand technical interviews are meant to assess skill level, but the overall tone felt more adversarial than collaborative. As a new graduate candidate, I would have appreciated a more professional and communicative interview experience.
That said, the recruiter and earlier interview stages were much more positive, which is why the final round stood out so strongly in comparison.
