Submitted resume and cover letter, as usual. Was contacted later, standard phone interview, asked mostly technical questions, lasted about half an hour, mostly about Java. Was kind enough, said any questions I could not answer I could come back to later on.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Statistics Canada in May 2017
Interview
I applied through my school internship program. It was a phone interview. Only a few non-technical questions; they were about teamwork. The majority of the questions were technical; they asked for quite a few definitions, too.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Statistics Canada (Ottawa, ON) in Jan 2016
Interview
The interviewers were relaxed and very nice people. Asked mostly behavioural questions. They asked to talk about myself, about my projects, about related experience, if I had any questions, etc.
